  1. Reading about all of these films simply made me smile – which is so comforting, isn’t it? Loved your choices. And – I really do want to see Kedi – I was curious (as a cat) when I first heard about it…now I will keep a sharp eye out for it.

    What a great selection! I never thought of watching “The Miracle of Morgan’s Creek” as a turn-to comfort film and now I’m wondering WHY NOT? It’s such good fun! These movies would turn any drab day into a riot.

  3. Miracle is delightfully outrageous! I love the little sister as the voice of reason in that film. And of course, who doesn’t love Ball of Fire? I have a soft spot for old men and think this one is so much fun. I also love Stanwyck in Lady of Burlesque.

  4. These are great picks! Oh, the Miracle of Morgan’s Creek, silly, yes, and so so so much fun. It’s one of the few Sturges films I don’t own, but I do have Kanopy!
